The Game of Cricket and How It Resembles Baseball

An English Game which has attained global interest, cricket like baseball is played everywhere from the largest stadiums to the smallest alleyways in the world.  First made popular by 17th and 18th century aristocrats searching for more excitement, cricket has proven to be an exciting, competitive sport, which appeals to both the young and the old regardless of economic status.

The games are not only enjoyed for the talent and competitiveness of the players, they are also seen as social outings. Time is scheduled for a break between the two innings of play so that both the players and the spectators may enjoy a nice tea or luncheon.    

And almost as old as the game itself is the desire to bet on the outcome.  People bet on everything from how long the match will take to play and whether specific players will do well to how many runs each team will have.
