Why Cricket Match Fans Schedule a Food Break

When cricket players and fans come together for a match, the match can become so intense that people become consumed by the play.  The competition is fierce and each play has potential to win or loose the match. 

Because there are only two innings and each team plays one full inning, there is often little time to eat, drink or relax.  Therefore, long ago it was decided that the space between the innings would be used to feed the players and the spectators.  It really depends on the setting where the match is held as to what types of concessions are available.  If in a stadium, where an important match is being held, the food can range from sandwiches to shrimp, from water to champagne. And it can be a very social time for people.   In a neighborhood alley match, it could simply be a drink of water and a little time to catch one’s breath.  Whatever type of break is held, once the match begins again, the intensity also begins.
